Chris and I attended the taping yesterday for Thelma Wells TV show; BEE the Best You Can BE with Mama T. As part of the live studio audience, we were blessed to hear Thelma’s two-part program titled; Practical Principles of Effective Leadership – the Facts and Fallacies About Women in Leadership. With a specific focus on women in leadership roles within the church and in Christian ministry, Thelma’s messages were powerful.

As a truly anointed woman of God, Thelma is always “spot on” when teaching from the Bible, and this was no exception. I’ll be featuring various points from her two-part message throughout the coming weeks. I hope you’ll stop by.

Thelma’s three point guideline concerning how we can best serve God with our spiritual gifts.

1. Work in your giftedness. Know what you do well and do it well!

2. Bless those who persecute you. There will always be people who do not see eye-to-eye with your calling.

3. If God has called you, He will equip you. Even in times of worry and anxiety, God will give you what you need if you seek to find your answers in Scripture and if you are obedient to His Word.

As someone in Christian ministry, I know how difficult it can be at times and how much the evil one wants to destroy the messages God has placed on the hearts of his children. It’s important to go to the Word and to teachers like Mama T when we need guidance, encouragement and wisdom.
